There is an exit scam where the owner and workers will get very aggressive with you claiming you either have to pay for every show, you have to pay to tip the ladies or you agreed to pay in British sterling instead of THB. It can be a scary experience so here is how to avoid the scam.

• Be bold and tell them that you know the scam and are not willing to pay the ridiculous add-ons that you are being charged for.
• Before entering you can agree on the terms of the price repeatedly. Make sure you are paying in baht and not sterling. Even try to get a written agreement
• Pay the owner the entry fee and have a tab behind the bar in advance.
• Go into ping-pong bars in big groups. Having a large guy will always help you have the upper hand to their aggressive approach.
• Take only the minimum amount of money. You will never receive change so take small notes and then you can also argue you can't afford the extra charges that weren't agreed.
